A group exhibition titled “QUATRAIN” featuring four artists from the 22nd batch of the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programme at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology is set to open on October 9 at 5:00 PM at Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. The exhibition will continue through October 15 and will remain open to visitors daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The exhibition brings together the works of Nathan Pallob Mondol, Nabila Mahmud Kanak, Farahin Tanveen, and Tamjida Mushfiq Prova. Coming from diverse academic backgrounds, the four artists have developed their individual artistic languages through postgraduate study and creative exploration in the MFA programme at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology.

Nathan Pallob Mondol’s works explore layers of human emotion, memory, and lived experience through abstract forms, textures, and expressive use of colour. In the works of Nabila Mahmud Kanak, birds emerge as symbols of freedom, resilience, and the emotional landscape of the inner self. Farahin Tanveen transforms personal experiences and observations into conceptual visual narratives through symbolism and abstraction. Meanwhile, Tamjida Mushfiq Prova investigates questions of identity, memory, presence, and absence through a combination of figurative and abstract approaches.
As suggested by its title, QUATRAIN brings together four distinct artistic perspectives. Through works centered on emotion, memory, identity, nature, and personal experience, the participating artists present diverse approaches to contemporary visual practice. According to the organizers, the exhibition not only showcases the works of four emerging artists but also reflects a unique creative journey shaped by different educational and experiential backgrounds.
